The book that we have chosen for the month of October is The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill. The reason that we chose this book is that it spoke so powerfully and eloquently about an historic event that most people know something about. However, the book brings to life in poignant detail, the reality of what the slaves were forced to endure.
